Help for families and GP's in understanding mood swings

Families
• Are you part of the one family in three now affected by mental illness?
• Are you a carer for a relative suffering from depression who does not know where to turn for help?

One way in which we help is with an introduction to bipolar disorder with lots of ideas for support and help to see this illness as a gift as well as a curse. Contact Roger to discuss this.

Testimonial:

October 2006 - Ingrid Hill

Your presentation (A Balanced Life) was imaginative, thought-provoking and fun!

Are you a GP...
• needing immediate effective stress advice for your patients?
• who is frustrated by long waiting lists for therapy?

Many health professionals have found, "Stop Paddling/Start Sailing", useful for their understanding of bipolar disorder. This book is of course available to patients and their families.

Review:

Teifion Davies, Senior lecturer in community psychiatry, London, England

I found your book extremely interesting and uplifting: the mixture of personal experience, story and plain advice means that it is a pleasant as well as an informative read. I should like to buy the copy you loaned me... it’s looking a bit dog-eared now.

GP's can request Stress Advice for patients, their staff or even for themselves.

Outside of South Lincolnshire this may be delivered by an adviser affiliated with Stop Paddling qualified through Stress Education Services / associate of the ISMA.
Mental health
Recovery and WRAP training can be provided by Stop Paddling anywhere in the UK.

The bipolar recovery course, STABLE(TM), is available for those really serious about leaving mood swings behind them.

Discussions regarding bipolar disorder should initially be by email. Discussion by phone is possible following contact by email.

Unfortunately Stop Paddling does not have sufficient experience to help with degenerative illnesses.
